DOUBLE DUTCH Featured

So yeah. A groovin' soundtrack to reasonably priced drinks in a dirty atmosphere and the crowd doesn't suck?...Bouncers: Sweet and actually ASK "How you doin' tonight?" instead of thinking they're getting paid to be meanies!...it's dog friendly. I think it's so cool

I'm going go out on a limb and say that Sunday and Monday are the two best nights to experience the 'Dutch. All day, they offer a pint of Trumer Pilsner and a shot of Jameson for $5. Really breathe that in and let it resonate for a moment, as $5 is a complete steal for two high quality products like Trumer and Jameson. Insane!
They also do Wii bowling tournaments on Sunday/Monday, and everyone who sits down at the bar gets a complimentary glass of crunchy Cheetos. What's not to love? ---ruggy j.I've seen the future, brother... it is murder 8/9/2009

My mood has to be very specific to hit up Double Dutch, and by mood I mean hammered and wanting to get my dance on. Actually I'm in that "mood" a lot which is probably why this is a spot of mine when I'm out to play in the Mission.
The DD pulls me in when the clock draws near 1AM. Likely a moderate amount of Fernet is in my system and I can hear faint hip hop in the recesses of my mind, like a siren's song saying "Jusssttiiiiinnnn, come shake your asssssss... drink more tooooooo...."
Sure, it is smaller and packed every damn weekend, but the vibe reminds me of house parties from back in the day so maybe it's nostalgia. 100 degrees, music thumping, and wall to wall people letting loose and dancing until the lights pop on. I know I dig this spot because every time those obnoxious lights do come on I'm genuinely bummed that it's over. --- Justin N. this feeling in my bones 8/4/2009
