ELIXIR Featured

Elixir is a neighborhood bar that has been serving its neighborhood for as long as there has been a record of this corner (1858). Now that's some history!.... Where else in the city can you make your own Bloody Mary on Sunday.

Behind the stick at this classic saloon you'll find friendly bartenders, an amazing selection of spirits and beers and some of the freshest cocktails in the city. We are dedicated to the tradition of a comfortable corner bar, where everyone is welcome. What you'll find different is our equal dedication to the selection and quality of drinks that you'd normally find in more upscale and "downtown" establishments. We try to mix things up regualarly, providing fresh and seasonal cocktails, locally brewed and unique beers, organic selections and education about it all.

So come pull up a stool, put a tune on the jukebox and make some memories. You'll walk away with the experience you always wanted in friendly neighborhood bar...and then some.

The Bloody Elixir -Elixir San Francisco

At an old saloon in the Mission District, Elixir owner H. Joseph Ehrmann hasn’t just taken the Mary out of the Bloody Mary; he’s severed the old broad’s head. Think sturdy, briny, and hyperspiced.

YELP FAVE:

"Loved the ambiance. Warm, masculine, pub-like atmosphere. Bold, yet substantial colors on the wall (cranberries mixed with brown wooden shades). Bustling, intriguing crowd - good-looking, but not Marina. Hipsters, but not cocky. I liked it, I really liked it. --- Sally M.i am not good at brevity. 8/16/2009
