CORNER, THE

The service was great -- attentive without being overbearing. The menu offers a nice range of tasty treats at quite reasonable prices.... Very friendly staff and a great wine list.... Based on my happy hour experience alone, I am a big fan. Other good stuff- brown bandanna napkins and plenty of tasty veggie friendly options to choose from. And they love owls!

YELP FAVES:

Memorable things: super cute, friendly, knowledgable femme server; splendid sunchoke soup; tasty gnocchi; beautiful monochromatic chocolate colors decorating the walls. In short, I quite liked The Corner.
Cute, small, chill place right on the corner of 18th & Mission. They have a small, but interesting menu with app's and a couple of entrees, beer & wine. Service was great!--- Sally M. i am not good at brevity. 9/9/2009

The food is always good - I especially like the ribs and horseradish mashed potato dish, but the chicken is always nicely done as well. The mac and cheese is fantastic for the non-meat eaters, and the cherry tart (which is more like a crumble) is fantastic. The prices are very reasonable, especially for the portion size, and the atmosphere is a nice mix of lively and mellow. I've been with friends, by myself, and on dates, and have always felt relaxed and welcomed. --- Nancy L. That seat's taken 8/13/2009

- Fried Rabbit: crispy, tasted like chicken
- Halibut: delicious, flaky, sausage was good
- Beef Tongue & Scallop: crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, eaten with the seared scallop = yummy!
- House Red: very light (in color & taste), they get it in barrels from some winery in the North, tasted like juice --- Linda C. girls just wanna have fun . 8/31/2009
