HUMPHRY SLOCOMBE ICE CREAM

Humphry Slocombe is all that's promised, and more!...Life is short and HS is a great example of how something offbeat and seemingly strange can actually turn out to be pretty damn wonderful. ... Is it a guilty pleasure if you never actually feel guilty about it?....taking ice cream flavors where they never went before

Secret Breakfast (bourbon & cornflakes) - there's just enough in there that you can taste it without it being overpowering. If anything, try it for its uniqueness!

Dulce de leche - Delicious, but so rich,

Blue Bottle Vietnamese Coffee - Picks you up and won't let you down! This coffee-flavored treat was pretty spot on.

Oolong tea - tasted "light", but in a refreshing way, not a "all the fat and sugar has been taken out, gross" kinda way.

sweet peanut butter actually blends in nicely with its light but distinct curry flavor and the smooth

McEvoy olive oil was smooth, delicious and just light enough

banana pecan - a safe bet, but excellent. Carmelized pecans dotting a smooth lightly banana-flavored cream.

balsamic caramel vinegar melded with caramel.

YELP FAVE

I love the fact that I live in a neighborhood that when someone tells you a gourmet ice cream place featuring exotic, inventive flavors just opened, my first reaction is "Another one?" That's right; watch out Bi-Rite Creamery, there's a new kid in town. And his name is Humphry Slocombe.
He'll match your Salted Caramel with his own Balsamic Caramel and then leave you speechless with Pistachio-Bacon. Yeah, it's like that. A few friends and I all took a Saturday stroll down to this retro-style joint at 24th & Harrison a week back. It was the perfect (January) day to try some ice cream, temperature in the mid-60's. I tried the Blue Bottle Vietnamese Coffee (solid) and the Secret Breakfast, the secret being a devilish blend of bourbon ice cream and caramelized corn flakes. They have a few dozen flavors listed on their web site and rotate about 10 at a time. I am already looking forward to my next visit. Highly recommended. --Saminda W.
