ST. FRANCIS FOUNTAIN

Serves Mitchell's ice cream and is one of San Francisco's oldest ice cream parlors.... total throwback to the good 'ole days and the good 'ole ways... best breakfast for your buck anywhere in the city,....Classic soda fountain, no better place for a grilled cheese topped off with an ice cream sundae, only instead of the boy next door, the soda jerk is a pierced, tatooed hipster...pretty cool!

Coffee milkshake = excellent! ...Guinness Beer Float ....great fried egg sandwich... veggie Rueben on sourdough is by far my favorite sandwich in the city.....The Chefs Mess and waffles with orange zest and pecans are both fantastic, but there really isn't anything to avoid on this diner's menu.
