CHA-YA VEGETARIAN JAPANESE RESTAURANT

Great vegetarian sushi. Arguably the best in the city. The rolls are fantastic Being Vegetarian is easy in San Francisco. Whether you were born one or you just turned into one!!! and it's easy because there's places like Cha-Ya!! :) Huge portions. Filling vegetarian. Spartan, cafeteria-like ambiance. No credit cards,$9 minimum per person, no separate checks, gratuity fees, Waiters are slow but the food makes up for it.

Try the Chaya-Nabe a clear, light vegetable broth glistening with a colorful array of the freshest vegetables. I always feel healthy and light after eating - like I've added years to my life.

Soba sushi - instead of rice, they use soba noodles in the maki roll, which was simple yet very creative, and so good! The different veggies in the middle were fresh and crunchy.

vegan chocolate cake can NOT be missed

Don't-misses include the Cha-Ya Roll and Soba Salad.
