Taqueria San Francisco

  • Most notably, this desert island taqueria holds the honor of producing the highest-rated slab on Burritoeater record — a 9.38-mustache colossus in February 2004.--- burritoeater.com
  • Of worthy note... their salsa --chopped up tomatoes, onions and cilantro -- looks harmless and looks just like the mild salsa at most other mexican food joints... but BE AWARE... there's also chopped up jalapenos in it!! despite the ongoing fire in my mouth, i couldn't stop eating it... it was so good. My 2 other girl friends and i killed the entire jar of salsa on the table =P Oh, and they have guacomole salsa too! but you have to ask for it. I wish I knew that ahead of time!---

  • There burrito people and taco people. I am a taco person. Taqueria San Francisco is by far my most favorite joint for al pastor tacos. Carnitas are ok. Lengua is ok. But the al pastor, seriously heaven in spicy pork form.
    +5 for delicious tacos

  • Get the carne asada super just like dude on burritoeater says. It's amazing. They chop the carne asada really nicely, so you don't get any of those gristly chunks you might find at a lesser taqueria. The downside of this is that they are CONSTANTLY chopping stuff in the kitchen, and it's hella loud. I guess the salsa is kinda special; it tastes like it's been pickled. Perhaps it has been. It's still good. I dont eat to live, --- Michael G.I live to eat! 5/12/2008
