Community Thrift Store

"this is the spot. Everything you need to furnish your entire house (or change your decor is here.... The book selection is legendary and they are organized by sections too....Every first Monday is half-off in the store... The best part about the shop is that with each purchase you make, a portion of the sale goes to a different Bay Area charity. A good place to donate your clutter as well since donations are tax-deductible. and you get to choose which charity(-ies) you would like them to go towards.

YELP FAVE:

"As an experienced Craigslist deal-finder, I will tell you this: if you're just moving into SF or already here and moving to a different neighborhood, this is the spot. Everything you need to furnish your entire house (or change your decor is here. Paying retail for furniture, kitchenware and decor is for idiots! The kitchenware section is incredible, and a soapy wash will get them up to snuff. They come in entire sets, too, so leave your days of mismatched dishes behind! ... Community Thrift has the hookup!" --- Mo R. For Lovers, For Dreamers & Me 8/22/2009

YELP FAVE: "When stopping in the Mission for burritos, I always have to stop here and Thrift Town for different reasons. I like that Community Thrift is really organized, with an alphabetically arranged book section, boxes full of one thing (sunglasses, patches, etc.), and clothes that are put together in a way that makes sense. I go here for books, CDs, art, and knick-knacks, and Thrift Town for clothes and accessories.---Amanda C. 7/27/2009
